The website has been designed to meet accessibility guidelines as issued by the W3C which is an international organisation that develops standards for the internet.

Access Keys

Some users may not be able to use a pointing device such as a mouse, therefore in order to assist users access some key pages of our website, access keys have been provided. To enable you to identify an access key we have underlined the appropriate letter to use wihin the main navigation at the top of each page, as well as the secondary navigation at the bottom of the page.

The way in which access keys are used is dependant on the browser used.. Internet explorer, Netscape, Firefox and Mozilla users will need to select the ALT key together with the desired access key and then select enter or return on your keyboard. Macintosh users will need to press the CTRL key and then the desired access key.

Text Sizing

If you are experiencing difficulty in reading the text within this website, you can adjust the text size through a built in function within your browser.

Mozilla and Firefox

Move the cursor down, highlight and select Text Size.
Select Increase or Decrease to alter the size of the text.

Acronyms and abbreviations

As part of the W3C Web Content Accessibilty guidelines, all acronyms and abbreviations have their full meaning specified. Therefore, each abbreviation and acronym on the website will appear in blue text. When your mouse hovers over it , the cursor will change to a question mark, and a tooltip will appear stating the complete meaning of the abbreviation or acronym.
